Who (or WHAT) is the Dwarf? And who the HECK is Panda the Cat? Why is
it so important for a man to know how to handle his weaponry? Which is
more interesting, Coke cans or tattoos? Boxers or briefs? Poetry musings?
Fru Fests? Speedos???? These are just some of the all-pervading questions OPJFC members
receive from those new to our midst who MUST know why everyone breaks into
laughter (or blushing snickers) when simple words are spoken, such as
"sunglasses case." And no matter how many times we give these incredibly relevant answers,
we all remember the great times we've shared here at the OPJFC over the
past years. Paul has not only allowed us to use and misuse his cyberhome
to create some of the most bizarre occasions found on the web -- Harvest
Festivals and March Madness, and don't forget those New Year's Eve
parties! -- he has allowed us all to have our way as we please with his
image, and has found great pleasure in it all himself. (Even participates
on occasion.) But this home for us all on the web is about more than just fun...we've
accomplished some great things here. From our scholarship fund to
launching new avenues in our lives, in sharing our joys and enduring our
sorrows, we've shared it all. This is now YOUR chance to archive your
little bit of history. The Scavenger Hunt is on! Scroll down to use the

~from Firinn Little did I realize when I first went online in March of 1998, I would
became enthralled with the Highlander fandom, ensnared in the show
"Highlander: The Raven", intrigued by a short film titled "Conversations
in Limbo", and captivated by a man named Paul Johansson. Because of my work with the Unofficial Raven Web Site, I was asked to
develop an official site for Paul's independent film (which was quite an
honor for me). Along the way, when I asked about developing an official
site for Paul which included a fan club, one of his representatives told
me that it was doubtful Paul would even be interested. Needless to say I
was quite surprised the day he and I first spoke, when he agreed to all
this without a single hesitation. His delightful charisma and honest
sincerity immediately won me over -- as I have, for the past two years,
seen him do to countless people from coworkers on projects to fans walking
on clouds away from the fan meetings. You can't help but like the guy.
He's a charmer, for sure. Thus I have been, since January of 1999, handling the online properties
of writer/director/ACTor Paul Johansson. It has been my personal honor and
priviledge to have shared this journey with him. In managing Paul Johansson Online and the Official Paul Johansson Fan
Club, I have seen people gather from all parts of the globe, from all
walks of life, to our little corner of cyberspace to become real friends,
most having never met. The love and support they all share with each other
in so many diverse ways is an incredible thing to behold, and a touching
thing to experience. So when I am celebrating my 101st birthday, holding my great-great
grandchild in my arms, looking back on this adventure I call a life, I
will always without a single doubt remember these magical days as we are
reaching across the universe to share pieces of our souls. That is and
will always be my greatest memory from the Paul Johansson Fan Club, and I
thank you all for that.
Charles Cooke My name is Charles Cooke. One oddball event that I remember has to do
with the "Forum-New-Year-Party-for-1999/2000". On that occasion, I won a
prize for first response to one of the management postings, despite the
fact that my response was about 24 hours after the management posting! (My
impression is, that at most Forum-Parties, including that one, a full five
minute delay would **normally** make the chances of winning a bit remote.)
However, in this case, circumstances were obviously a bit unusual. What
happened was something like this. The prize postings were being made to
correspond to Midnight in each of several different time zones. This means
that the postings were mostly "on the hour" with reference to GMT, and
thus, with respect to most other time zones. However, there was such a
posting for Newfoundland, which is a oddball in this respect. Their
official time is offset from GMT by I think, something like three and a
***half*** hours, whatever, it is "on the ***half*** hour" when converted
to GMT, EST, etc., etc. Thus, the prize post for Newfoundland got slipped
in at a time when the real party-attendees were not on the alert. Thus,
even though I did not attend, I was able to come along almost 24 hours
late, notice an overlooked posting, and **legitimately** claim a first
response despite being about 24 hours late!!--LOL (By the way, the prize
itself was an autographed Midnight Witness postcard, and I still have it.)
Sandra from Longview I can't really remember the day or month. but I was surprised that Paul
answered my post to a picture that I posted on the Forum and telling me
the story behind the picture. I was just surprised to hear from him, so I
guess he does occasionally lurk like all of us do. This is the picture he
responded to:
![]() Plus Lurks explaining about how his tattoo was mentioned in the episode
of Rebirth I believe. That look he gave Elizabeth as Amanda was priceless.
Now, it's got me curious about his tattoo!
Mistress Rose MacWench There have been *so* many memorable occasions, but I'll just name one
for now....I think one of the most fun yet embarrassing memories stemmed
from "The Great Speedo Debate". Either Lurks or Firinn, I forget who,
posted the infamous Speedo Fru...and I'm sorry, even a man as beautiful as
Paul should not wear Speedos! *Rose shivers!* Anyway, I fru'ed back the ever lovely thighs fru, and silliness upon
silliness grew, until I quickly put together this fru:
